History of The Hollymount
The Hollymount Motel was run by the Cooney's from the early 1950's until 1978. Named for a row of holly trees in the oval driveway and a town in County Mayo, Ireland where Mr. Cooney's family emigrated from. The motel was family-friendly boasting and apple tree on the right of the photo with a sandbox underneath for the kids.
